Kalamata, the capital and central port of Messinia, has been widely known since antiquity as Farai, with references from Homer. The bay of Taygetos to the west of the city, its beautiful beaches and the olive trees that are found in every corner of the Messinian land, appear a fairytale and so attractive landscape, where the visitor is enchanted at first sight. However, the history of the city continues both in the medieval years, with the Castle of Princess Izambo, and in recent years with the ratification of the Greek Revolution of 1821 by the church of Agios Apostolos.
Today it is flooded with many visitors and locals, who enjoy its beautiful view, its historical monuments and museums, its beaches, as well as the events, where they take place on a daily basis.
A city that never stands still waiting to host digital nomads from all over the world, showing its hospitality and history.
